Founded by Jacquie Silvester, Bright Green Edge draws on her extensive experience as a sustainability professional. The initiative helps organisations achieve their sustainability goals by addressing environmental challenges such as decarbonisation, supply chain impacts, and carbon literacy. Recognising the challenges posed by diverse perspectives, varying knowledge levels, and the complexity of sustainability acronyms. Jacquie champions a bottom-up approach to environmental change. She emphasises the vital role of both individual and collective responsibility , believing that meaningful progress in sustainability occurs when every team member is engaged and empowered to contribute.

Jacquie Silvester, MSc Env Mgmt (Open), BA (Open), PISEP, holds a Master of Science in Environmental Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management, both from The Open University. She is a Practitioner with the Institute of Sustainability & Environmental Professionals (ISEP), and is committed to advancing awareness and understanding of sustainability through public speaking, workshops and industry engagement.

Her areas of expertise include decarbonisation, carbon offsetting, and balancing cost with environmental responsibility. Jacquie has shared her insights at leading industry events including The Sustainability Supply Chain Conference, the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport Annual Conference and as a panel speaker at Anthropy and Decorex. She has also served as a judge for the Supply Chain Excellence Awards. In addition, Jacquie is Carbon Literate, accredited by the Carbon Literacy Project, and has completed the Lead Auditor and Lead Implementer training for ISO14001.
